This still feels unfinished to me, somehow. Not sure just what to do with it, but I'm posting it for now because Zoids. <3

This is a snapshot from the past when Aaron (piloting Rebel the Leoblaze) meets SJ (piloting her War Shark, T.E.) - this was back when Aaron was more of an anti-social jerk who only found consolation in befriending wild Zoids and gathering abandoned, salvagable Zoid parts after battles. Turns out SJ had the same kind of trashy pastime when they both found themselves face-to-face at a previous battle site, clawing and fighting for the goods.
Rebel managed to lose an entire leg, while T.E. got away with just a deep scar on her head armor, forever marring the beautiful mural painted on her side. ...The first one to really break through her defenses.
This is kind of a sad piece for me, just as it is a happy one. Both Rebel and T.E. have since passed on (a charged-particle weapon and exhaustion/old age, respectively) but it feels good to have finally drawn them together after the RP that inspired this so long ago.

I love the mural painted on the War Shark!
It makes sense that some pilots would come up with elaborate paint jobs for their zoids. It would be nice to see more of this kind of decoration on custom painted models and such.
